The unique Eco-System of Sark

Sark is the smallest isle within the Channel Islands. Sarks history is vast, however artists from around the world are now paying particular attention to the beautiful habitat.

The whole Isle of Sark is extensively penetrated at sea level by natural cave formations that provide unique habitats for many marine creatures, notably sea anemones, some of which are only accessible at low tide.

Due to the warming currents of the Gulf stream, there's a distinctly continental influence on the blend of wildlife here and some plants and animals thrive here that are rarely, if ever, found on the British Mainland. Although Sark is just three miles long by a mile and a half wide, it contains a variety of habitats.
